The new year called for new decorations. Here’s the latest addition to our kitchen. In making it, I peeled off vinyl from a sign I’ve had for years. It had also been painted an antique white. I watered down some acrylic true white and did some quick strokes across the canvas. It left a pretty and subtle wood grain look. Eventually I will try to add a wood frame…just need to build up to using a saw haha. In the meantime, if anyone asks “What’s taters?” I have the answer.

Who Am I?

I am Hannah Farrer. I like to create. I come from a long line of creatives. My mom sews and was a tole painter for decades, my sister started sewing and now designs fabric, my grandma crocheted, my grandpa created intricate model trains, and my great-grandma hauled her sewing machine across the plains as a pioneer. The urge to create is in my blood.

I’m not sure what medium inspires me most. It honestly depends on the day. So, here, I’ll be exploring new projects, having epic failures, and hopefully finding some successes along the way. The goal though, is to create and have fun. Hopefully we can share some fun and learn together!
